This notice explains what information KoreaHomeGuide collects, why we use it, how long we keep it, and how you can ask us to delete it.

Who is responsible

Information we collect

You can use Rent Check and Explore without providing an email address. If you choose to save a rent check or ask for help, we collect your email address, the optional message you enter, and the rent-check context attached to that request. That context can include district, housing type, deposit, monthly rent, floor area, result rating, confidence, comparable-contract count, data period, and calculated comparison values.

We also receive limited attribution information attached to the request, such as the source page, campaign parameters, and referring website host. Please do not submit passwords, identification numbers, financial-account details, or other sensitive information.

Why we use it

We use this information to save and follow up on your rent check, send related rental guidance, respond when you ask KoreaHomeGuide for help, protect the service from abuse, and understand whether our rental tools are useful. We do not sell submitted email addresses or rent-check information.

Services that process information

Vercel provides website hosting, serverless functions, security, and delivery. Google Apps Script and Google Sheets store and organize submitted lead records. Google Analytics is loaded only if you accept optional analytics. Google Maps may process technical request information when you open an Explore map. These providers process information under their own service and privacy terms.

Analytics choices

Optional Google Analytics does not load until you select “Accept analytics.” You may reject it and continue using the site. Use the “Privacy choices” control in the footer to revisit your selection. Rejecting later prevents future analytics loading on this browser; it cannot remove aggregate statistics already created.

How long we keep it

Lead and help-request records are deleted or anonymized after 12 months, unless we still need the record to respond to an active request or must retain it to meet a legal obligation. Browser-stored privacy choices remain until you clear site storage or change your selection.

Your choices and deletion requests

You may ask to access, correct, or delete information associated with your email address. Send the request from that address to hello@koreahomeguide.com. We may ask for reasonable verification before acting so that another person cannot delete your information.

International processing

Our service providers may process information in Korea, the United States, the European Economic Area, or other locations where they operate. By choosing to submit information, you understand that it may be processed outside your current country subject to applicable safeguards and provider terms.

Security and children

We use access controls, request validation, rate limits, and restricted service credentials appropriate to this small service. No internet service can promise absolute security. KoreaHomeGuide is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly request personal information from children.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page when our collection or processing changes materially. The effective date of this version is August 25, 2026.
