Yeongdeungpo-gu Villa / Multi-family Rent Prices

Yeongdeungpo includes the Yeouido business district but also a much broader range of residential areas, giving renters more price variation than the district name may suggest. This page uses reported Ministry of Land rental transactions—not asking prices—to give you a current reference before you sign.

RENTING IN YEONGDEUNGPO-GU

What renters should know about villas and multi-family homes in Yeongdeungpo-gu

Yeouido is particularly convenient for finance and office workers, while Lines 1, 2, 5, 9 and major bus routes connect the wider district to central and southwestern Seoul. Looking outside the immediate Yeouido core can produce a different balance of commute, space, and monthly rent.

High-rise apartments and officetels near major business and transit nodes can carry a clear premium, but older apartments and villas elsewhere in the district may offer more floor area. The useful comparison is not “Yeongdeungpo average rent” but recent contracts for the same property category.

Villa and multi-family housing can offer more space or a quieter residential setting for the same headline rent, but the buildings are much less standardized than large apartment complexes. This category can work well for renters who prioritize floor area, residential streets, or lower monthly rent over concierge-style management. It also includes much of the housing that foreigners informally call one-room or low-rise housing.

Building age and exact transit access matter. Inspect elevator condition, security, parking, renovation quality, and maintenance fees in older stock, and confirm whether a low headline monthly rent is being offset by a larger deposit or recurring building charges. Inspect the building in person, confirm the exact registered address and owner, check for moisture or mold, review security and parking, and understand deposit-protection options. Condition can vary substantially even between nearby buildings.

How to use this page

Start with the six-month medians to understand the district-level range, then compare your exact quote with KoreaHomeGuide Rent Check. The official transaction dataset does not capture every qualitative feature, so use the result to challenge or validate an asking price rather than treating it as an appraisal.
